Recently, we received extensive evidence of an individual named Abdul Mateen Ahmad illegally pirating digital products, including Untitled UI. Abdul was caught using his own account and email address.
When confronted regarding this, Abdul tried to blame and falsely accuse a former employer of involvement in this piracy. When we contacted this former employer, they confirmed that Abdul never worked at their organization and that this experience on his LinkedIn profile was a fabrication. Abdul has since deleted his LinkedIn and other social profiles and has created new social profiles under a different identity, cowardly changing his name from "Abdul Mateen Ejaz" to "Abdul Mateen Ahmad".
It's incredibly concerning to see other "designers" blatantly stealing from their peers and we have a zero tolerance policy against people like Abdul.
Not only are these actions unethical, but they also constitute a blatant violation of our license agreement and amount to willful copyright infringement, which is both a civil and criminal offense. We have engaged a law firm we've previously worked with to assist with copyright and intellectual property matters.

Stolen portfolio projects
In addition to involvement in the illegal theft of copyrighted digital products, Abdul Mateen Ahmad openly steals projects from other designers to claim it as his own work for self promotion. His LinkedIn and Behance portfolio pages are littered with projects stolen directly from other designers and companies.
Not only does he not give credit for these designs, he openly claims them as his own work:

We created this post to warn other creators and businesses about this individual and ensure that he does not have access to your digital products — he is likely sharing and and we recommend revoking access immediately.
If you have received any suspicious emails or messages from Abdul Mateen Ahmad, or have had your own products pirated by this individual, please report them to us via legal@untitledui.com so we can follow up.
