Aagreet Sinha is a Product Designer based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, who has been involved in distributing pirated digital products.
Aagreet runs a large WhatsApp community called Teach Yourself Design with 575+ members. He is the sole admin of this group. The purpose of this WhatsApp group is to "crowdfund" digital products and share pirated copies of digital products made by his peers and independent businesses.
Throughout 2023, Aagreet shared our digital products with 50+ people without permission. When we requested fair financial compensation for his unlicensed use and distribution of our products, he immediately sold out the 50+ people he sent the files to and tried to pass the blame to them.
Since then, Aagreet has ignored emails and refuses to take responsibility for his actions.
It's incredibly concerning to see "Senior Product Designers" distributing pirated copies of their peers' work and we have a zero tolerance policy against people like Aagreet Sinha.
Not only are these actions unethical, but they also constitute a blatant violation of our license agreement and amount to wilful copyright infringement, which is both a civil and criminal offence. We have engaged a law firm we've previously worked with in Bengaluru to assist with copyright and intellectual property matters.

We take this stuff extremely seriously and follow up every single IP infringement of this nature. We believe creators and businesses should take a harder stance against these individuals by pursuing criminal charges and seeking financial damages. Criminal and financial consequences deter these individuals from infringing on other people's work in the future.
We are now working with a copyright lawyer to pursue legal action against Aagreet Sinha. This may seem like an extreme step, but we gave Aagreet Sinha every chance to cooperate and take responsibility for his actions. He first denied any wrongdoing and then ignored our requests.
