Recently, we received evidence of an individual named Tasbiul Alam Pial is illegally pirating digital products, including Untitled UI, via piracy Telegram channels. Tasbiul Alam was caught using his own account, number, and email address.
It's incredibly concerning to see other "designers" blatantly stealing from their peers and we have a zero tolerance policy against people like Tasbiul Alam.
Not only are these actions unethical, but they also constitute a blatant violation of our license agreement and amounts to willful copyright infringement, which is a criminal offence under Bangladeshi law, specifically the Copyright Act, 2000.
Under the Copyright Act, 2000 of Bangladesh, any person who knowingly infringes on copyrighted material may face both civil and criminal penalties, including imprisonment of up to 4 years and fines up to 400,000 BDT. Willful infringement—particularly involving software, music, films, or other forms of intellectual property—is considered a serious offence under Bangladeshi law.
We have engaged a law firm in Dhaka to assist with copyright and intellectual infringements.
