We recently obtained extensive evidence that an individual named Peng Zhang (张鹏) has been illegally pirating and selling digital products, including Untitled UI, via the Chinese marketplace Goofish / Xianyu (闲鱼). This constitutes willful and deliberate copyright and intellectual property infringement. Under PRC Copyright Law, this is both a civil and criminal offense, with penalties including substantial fines and imprisonment of up to 10 years.
Peng Zhang has been notified multiple times regarding blatant piracy and intentional IP and copyright violations, but has previously ignored notices, cowardly believing he was hiding behind anonymity.
We have a zero-tolerance policy toward piracy criminals like Peng Zhang and will continue to publicly call out this behavior. We have engaged a specialist IP law firm we've previously worked with in Hong Kong and will be proceeding with both civil and criminal action through the People’s Court against this individual.
